How giving at McDonald's supports RMHC families
Ronald McDonald House Charities is a nonprofit organization that helps keep families close to their hospitalized children with housing, meals, and support just steps from the hospital.
At McDonald's, guests can support RMHC year-round by rounding up their total to the nearest dollar, dropping spare change in RMHC Donation Boxes, and participating in in-restaurant fundraisers.
- Round-Up for RMHC: Ask to round your total to the next dollar; the difference is donated to RMHC.
- Donation Boxes: Place coins or cash in the RMHC Donation Boxes in our lobby and drive-thru.
- Happy Meals & specials: A portion from select menu items and events goes to RMHC through local programs.

What Is Round-Up for the House?
During Round-Up for the House Weekend, we invite our customers to help support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) by rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar at checkout. Every extra cent counts and goes directly to help families with serious or life-threatening illnesses stay close to home while they receive medical care.
How It Works at Checkout
- Regular Purchase: Your order comes up — for example, $8.43
- Round Up: When asked, you round your total up to the next dollar — so $9.00
- The Difference: That extra $0.57 goes to RMHC
- No Pressure: It's completely voluntary — we appreciate every amount!
- Every Dollar Helps: When our whole community rounds up together, we raise thousands!

100% of your Round-Up donation stays local and supports our area's Ronald McDonald House. The RMHC provides:

When you're at checkout, the crew member will ask: "Would you like to round up your purchase for Ronald McDonald House Charities?" Just say "Yes!" and hand over the next dollar amount. That's it! You're helping a family right here in Carbondale.

❓ What if my purchase is already a whole dollar?
If your order is exactly $10.00, you can round up to $11.00 and donate $1.00 — or skip it if you prefer. It's completely voluntary!
❓ Can I round up at kiosk ordering?
Yes! When you pay at the kiosk, you'll see an option to round up for RMHC before you complete your order. At front counter, just tell the crew member you want to round up.
❓ How much has our restaurant raised so far?
Check our RMHC Progress section on this website to see our current total and goal! We update it regularly throughout the year.
❓ Is this the same as donating online?
Round-Up is a special McDonald's program that happens only at our restaurant. It's just as meaningful as any other donation — every cent goes to the same local Ronald McDonald House!
